The Amazon

The Amazon River is located in South America, running through Peru, Colombia and Brazil. It is the longest and largest river in the world. Long whiskers and conspicuous protuberances are the characteristics of the most curious species that inhabit this river. They correspond to the catfish and the Midas cichlid respectively, but we have more interesting species, such as the Red bellied pacu, a herbivorous piranha that feeds on fruits and roots.
