Schools with fewer resources will be able to visit the Poema del Mar aquarium for free.



The vice-president of the Cabildo de Gran Canaria, Miguel Ángel Pérez del Pino, presented this Wednesday the image of the new social campaign launched by the Single Transport Authority (AUTGC) and the Loro Parque company, which will be displayed from today on 10 GLOBAL buses.

This is a social advertising campaign to which a budget of 70,000 euros per year, an amount that "Poema del Mar will dedicate to social outreach, to bring schools with fewer resources on the island closer to marine awareness and dissemination through Poema del Mar, which is a tourist, informative and scientific icon that we have to reinforce, not only in Gran Canaria but also in the rest of the world and that is why the Cabildo supports it by displaying the image of Poema del Mar on GLOBAL buses", explained Miguel Ángel Pérez del Pino at the presentation of the campaign, in which he was accompanied by the vice-president of the Loro Parque Group, Christoph Kiessling, the general director of GLOBAL, Víctor Quintana, and the production director of GLOBAL, Saulo Castro.

The schools that will be able to visit Poema del Mar free of charge and attend the informative workshops given by the aquarium will be selected by the Department of Education and Youth of the Cabildo de Gran Canaria, which will choose from among those with the least resources.
